Resin Jewelry vs. Epoxy Jewelry vs. Enamel Jewelry

Resin Jewelry/Epoxy Jewelry Enamel Jewelry
base materials Synthetic polymer resin (Epoxy Resin), cured with a hardener. Vitreous (glass-based) frit, fused onto a metal substrate via high-temperature firing.
Manufacturing Process Liquid resin is cast into molds and cured at ambient or elevated temperatures (E.g., oven curing) using a hardener; requires meticulous degassing, sanding, and polishing. Glaze is fired at high temperatures onto the metal base, involving intricate processes such as champlevé, cloisonné, or basse-taille; achieves a molecular fusion with the metal.
Design Versatility Extremely high design freedom, enabling complex forms and effortless embedding of various inclusions, facilitating personalized and contemporary designs. More dependent on the metal substrate's form; color and pattern articulation are intrinsically linked to the firing process, emphasizing color field and line artistry.

Epoxy Resin Jewelry

Epoxy resin jewelry is cast from a special polymer material, epoxy resin (a type of resin). This imported resin glue has good fluidity when in liquid state, and changes from liquid to hard, highly transparent solid under the action of a curing agent, showing a crystal-like luster and rich colors.

Its greatest charm lies in its ability to encapsulate unlimited creativity: we can inlay various elements such as dried flowers, sequins, gold foil, shell fragments, etc., to create unique and story-rich epoxy jewelry for your jewelry brand. In addition, unlike ordinary resin jewelry that is easily oxidized and yellowed, the imported epoxy glue we use has excellent anti-yellowing and anti-ultraviolet capabilities, and can maintain a crystal-like transparent texture for a long time.

In the production process of epoxy jewelry, we can customize the color and provide a variety of natural and lively colors. Multi-layer glue curing: the bottom layer is mixed with aurora glitter or fantasy foil to create a gradient effect like the starry sky and aurora; the middle layer can be cleverly embedded with zircon to enhance the three-dimensional shining effect; finally, the sealing layer is naturally air-dried for 24 hours and oven-dried to form a wear-resistant and scratch-resistant protective film.

How It Works

01 Share your jewelry design

First, the design and production of the metal jewelry body and polishing need to be completed. In the design stage, it is necessary to consider the area where the epoxy resin will be filled or decorated, and reserve grooves, borders or other spaces suitable for resin attachment.

02 Prepare epoxy resin materials

Muri atu, prepare and mix the epoxy resin material and mix it in precise proportions. If the design requires a colorful effect, add special epoxy resin pigments or color pastes for manual coloring. Depending on the design, you can also prepare glitter, foil, tiny decorations, take. that need to be encapsulated in the resin.

03 Epoxy resin infusion and curing

The epoxy resin is carefully poured into the custom jewelry's designated area, incorporating any desired elements. This measured pouring prevents bubbles. Multi-layered or colored designs require sequential pouring, allowing each layer to partially cure. The jewelry then undergoes final curing in a dust-free, controlled environment, a process that can last several hours.

04 Post-processing and final polishing

Once fully cured, the epoxy jewelry undergoes final polishing. Any excess resin is meticulously sanded flush with the custom jewelry's surface or shaped as desired using fine sandpaper. The epoxy is then polished to achieve a crystal-clear luster. Finally, the jewelry is thoroughly cleaned to remove any production residue.

Custom Enamel Jewelry

enamel jewelry

Enamel jewelry is a handicraft with a long history. It is made by coating the surface of metal jewelry (such as our stainless steel jewelry, copper jewelry, whakapaipai hiriwa, etc.) with glass glaze, firing at high temperature to melt the glaze and firmly adhere to the metal body. After cooling, it forms a colorful, lustrous and long-lasting artistic effect.

The color of enamel glaze is formed by mineral colorants, so it has extremely high color saturation and stability, and is long-lasting and not easy to fade or discolor. Its surface presents a unique glass texture, which is smooth and warm, contrasting with the luster of metal jewelry, bringing a rich visual and tactile experience. After high-temperature firing, the enamel glaze layer is closely combined with the metal body, which is hard, wear-resistant, and corrosion-resistant, and is not easily damaged during daily wear.

We combine traditional enamel craftsmanship with modern design, and can customize various patterns and colors according to customer needs to enhance the artistry and uniqueness of metal jewelry.
